The Academy of Medical Sciences next annual conference for clinical academics in training – CATAC – will take place at Riddel Hall, Queen's University Belfast on Wednesday 17 April 2024.

CATAC is a unique cross-disciplinary event designed to bring trainee clinical academics from a wide range of clinical disciplines and specialties together to present their work, network with one another and with senior researchers.

There will be three competitions held at CATAC 2024 for early career researchers in medicine and health currently working in the UK or Republic of Ireland (inclusive of clinical backgrounds in all disciplines and specialities):

• Post-Doctoral Plenary Competition
• Pre-Doctoral Plenary Competition
• Poster Competitions

Applications for the event competitions are now open and will close at 12.00 noon on Monday 18 December 2023 - you can find full event details and competition eligibility criteria here.

Although the competitions are for early career clinical academics, anyone is welcome to attend CATAC.
